BE A GUARDIAN ANGEL - HELP A SPECIAL NEEDS DOG
Many of the dogs that come through our rescue have suffered severe neglect, abuse and have rarely received basic veterinary care.
The most prevelent life threatening medical issue that we see is Heartworm Disease - which can cost between $250 - $400 to treat depending on the weight of the dog.
Other medical challenges that we treat include Mange, Broken limbs, Parvo, Distemper, improperly cropped ears that are infected and bleeding, physical burns, starvation -- the neglect and abuse the humans impose on defenseless animals is emotionally and financially overwhelming to our small rescue.
Our vet bills are in the tens of thousands each year - and every day is a struggle as the calls for help just keep coming.
